Question:
Weee, I'm super excited. Chemo has been having Contractions for a bit now. Of course go figure I have to leave for work in 15 minutes. *Sigh* Just my luck. She's been having small contractions for almost 3 hours now. I've never actually been around for any births, we're usually sleeping. Anyone know how long they can go through contractions for? Their still anywhere from 2-15 minutes apart. She was doing every 2 minutes for about 20 minutes then she was going almost 10 minutes between, then she didn't have any for almost 20 minutes and was munching away on hay and pellets. I assume it's similar to childbirth? The closer they are together the closer to birth? Sucks that I can't be here though.

I'll post any new news when I get home at 6:00p.m.

*sigh* well I'm home and nothing. I don't know if I should be worried or what. She's not even having anymore contractions. She's hopping around and wants to come out and play. Hopefully we'll have something before the night is through though or it's off to the vet again. I don't know if I can handle something happening to another chin.

This litter is a bit special as it's the first litter out of two chins born here with us

My chinchillas have had similar contraction episodes up to three days before they gave birth.

9:00 pm and still nothing... Oh gosh, if I have to go through this for 3 days... She's started contracting off and on again over the last hour. Real small ones and far between. I swear my girls are all out to send me to the mad house.

She has done nothing but hop around and eat since my last post (3 Hours). I think she's just loving the attention. I'm sure the minute I crawl into bed and fall asleep..haha. I'll keep everyone updated.
