Back from the vet

Question:
Well, Pepper and I are back from the vet. In the last month Pepper has been urinating far more than normal and drinking far more than normal. His urine has a peculiar odour as well. The vet narrowed it down to three possibilities:
1. renal failure
2. bladder infection
3. kidney stone

The easiest to treat is the bladder infection, so we are trying some antibiotics and seeing how that does first. If that doesn't clear up the problem we'll go for a blood test, then possibly an x-ray to see if there is a stone somewhere.

Pepper does have a heart murmur, poor guy. We don't know exactly how old he is, but we are guessing between seven to ten years. I'm hoping old age is not catching up with him just yet.

The most bizarre to watch was the vet attempting to get a urine sample. Pepper did not cooperate. Of course, as soon as we got home he went to the box and had a good pee.

Answer:
I hope it is nothing more than a bladder infection. Yea, getting urine samples from chins can be so challenging. Best of luck, I have my fingers crossed it is nothing serious.

Answer:
I hope it's only a bladder infection too!

Which vet did you go to?

Answer:
Kreenish, I am hoping your baby has nothing more than a bladder infection. I hope he feels better soon.

Answer:
Sophie, we went to Dr. Upjohn. I mentioned you referred us, which is probably why they treated us with such extra-special niceness! Even Pepper, who will give gentle nips when irritated, was incredibly well-behaved.

Answer:
Awww...poor Pepper. I hope it's only a bladder infection and nothing more. Keeping Pepper in my thoughts

Answer:
I'm sure they had no recollection of who I am I've only been there once so far after all

Pepper is in very good hands Dr. Upjohn will do all he can to make him better.

Answer:
Sending positive vibes to Pepper!

Answer:
Thanks for the kind thoughts, everyone. So far, catching Pepper is far more difficult than giving him his antibiotics. He seems to quite like the grape flavour.

Answer:
I hope things are easily solved, Coleen

Sophie - is Dr Upjohn the vet Heather finally used with Cinnamon? I can't remember
