Commercial Cage Cleaners or Wipes

Question:
Does anyone use commercial cage cleaners or wipes? If so, are they worth the money?

Answer:
I have used commercial cleaners before but I find that a mixture of vinegar and water works the best. I mix it 1:10. The other cleaners were not as effective on urine.

Answer:
Good to know. I use vinegar now.

Buddy's cage has been getting filthy lately (I actually need to sand down all of his shelves today)...

Answer:
Vinegar is awesome! I use a mixture of tea tree oil and water. Essential oils are great for cleaning!

Answer:
What water to tea tree oil ratio do you use Denise?

Answer:
Because tea tree oil is very strong I only add a teaspoon and fill the rest of a squirt bottle with water. I would say the squirt bottle holds 8 ounces.

Answer:
Thanks Denise.

Answer:
I use "Nature's Miracle" because it worked so well on removing the blood stains when Jeff cracked his back foot. It works equally well on cleaning the bottom of the cages and shelves, too.

I think that's the cleaner that my pet supply store is now carrying.

Answer:
I use dish liquid mostly, and vinigar too.
