Question:
Anyone else have a cat that sleeps with their eyes open? Totally wierds me out- but she is sound asleep in these pictures!
With Duece- wish I had about 30 more cats to completely cover my ugly sofa!
Ontop of 'Possum's cage (and the computer speaker for a pillow)

I've never had a cat do that. I've seen puppies sleep that way- but usually because a brother or sister is laying on their head and probably pulling the eye open. Mouse is just strange, anyway- but it really is creepy.

Max does that. It is so creepy.

Yesterday morning, Max was passed out on the couch when Jason went to work. He was sleeping in an awkward position and had his eyes open. Poor Jason thought for a second that he had passed during the night. He went over and touched him and he woke up. I'll try to get some pics.

As far as your "ugly" sofa goes - just don't vacuum it - it will soon turn a dusty grey colour with all the cat hari that collects on it!!! LOL

The cat doesn't do that, but my daughter does....it is so creepy. We were on an airplane and she fell asleep with her eyes open next to me....I was like close your eyes will ya!

Aoife sleeps like that sometimes - she's the only one I've seen do it. If you make a sound you can see her eyes come back into focus as she wakes up - freaky! What's even more freaky is when they're in REM sleep with their eyes open!
