Help!
Question: We were wondering if anyone could tell us what these pictures are of? The one named "plug: was found in the females cage last night February 21st 2004 and the one named "Lilo" was found in the females cage tonight February 22nd 2004. If anyone has any ideas on what these might be please please tell us. Thanks Answer: looks like a mating plug and maby an aborted baby to me? Are the chins in seperate cages yet? Answer: Glenn and Jackie...I'm going to make this a new thread. That way, it should get more attention. How fresh was the plug when you found it? Was it already dried? Answer: I'm with Sophie. Definitely a plug and the other one a very recent abortion. Probably not more than a month or so old. I have pictures of chin fetuses if anyone is interested.. Answer: How big is the mass in the first pic? Answer: The chins have been seperated since the sight recommended that we do so. the plug was still damp when we found it. The "Lilo" pic is about half inch in diameter. If she did have a baby then she must of became pregnant at the pet store where we bought her cause we have only had Lilo and Stitch for approximately 75 days Answer: The fact you found a plug indicates they mated at some point while in your home as well. She could have gotten pregnant at that point too. Glad to hear they are now seperate though. How is lilo doing now? Is she acting normally? Answer: Ilse, I am interested. Glenn and Jackie, I know that you said that Lilo is still active. Keep a close eye on her though for any changes. Make sure that she is eating, drinking, pooping, and playing normally. If not, a vet visit may be in order. If that is an aborted fetus, her pregnancy could have exacberated her chewing. It is stressful on the female, especially being so young. Keep us posted on how she's doing. Answer: Lilo hasnt been acting funny or strange at all. She is very very active. Is there anything that we can do for her? Answer: Definitely make sure that she is drinking. If she doesn't seem lethargic, there is probably not much you can do for her. Just make sure to keep an eye on her.
