unusually affectionate?
Question: hi everyone, haven't posted in a while (been side tracked) but pepper has been acting...odd? and i was wondering if anyone else has noticed this phenomena little bit of background..we got her from humane society as a kitten, she had been spayed, had a cold, never went throught he frisky kitten stage as she was sickly, well, she got better, we had her two years, never was all that lovey dovey...she would tolerate some scritches here and there but would leave when she got sick of it...then she ran away...gone for a whole year...we finally found her again and she fell back into her old routine, like she had never been gone..now, all the sudden, several months after she's been home, she's turned into a lap cat! i sit at the computer and she's on my lap..curled up, snoozinig..i'm loving the heck out of it, but i'm wondering why my oh so aloof kitty suddenly cares if i'm here, besides to fill her food bowl and empty her litter box? some friends on a message list are reporting similar changes in their cats...she is spayed so it's not a going into heat thing...i just don't know..sign of the armageddon? Answer: Perhaps she is finally comfortable and content in her home. Depending on where she came from (before the Humane Society), she may have not trusted humans. Maybe she feels safe now and trusts you? Answer: maybe its because he didnt have human affection for a yr, and now that hes home and he cant get enough lovins Answer: but she's been home for quite a while...we are getting close to move date, i'm thinking it might be she's sensing the tension from getting ready for that...i'm particularly stressed over it...ugh...i don't wanna go! lol but it sure does make me feel good with her curled up and purring on me..like "it's ok mom, it'll all be ok" Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
