I have been thinking of getting those... after a pretty big scratch on my forearm the other day.

My cat, Frodo, is a bit timid. When we're outside of the home... he clings to you very tightly and sometimes digs in when he hears sudden sounds or movements.

Are softclaws easy to apply and how long do they last?

I use Softclaws for one of my cats and they are amazing. Each application lasts about 4-6 weeks and the entire package lasts about 6 months. Our cat DOES NOT like his paws touched. He will hiss and growl but with two of us, it's not too bad. It takes a bit to get good at it though. The biggest thing is to not cut the claws too short. If they are too short, there is not enough surface area for the Softclaw to stick too. If they are too long, the Softclaw is shed faster.

We are using red right now. We started with blue, then clear, and now I have two packages of purple. The black ones are probably going to be the next choice.

they're great! like candice said, they last about 6 weeks, they're as easy to apply as clipping your cat's nails, basically...

i just put them on pepper's front paws since she likes to claw furniture so we still get scratched, well, the kids do..but they deserve everything she gives them
