Poor Nemo! His bum gets very soiled with urine because he pees and sits in it. His nickname is "Pigpen". I started giving Nemo montly bum baths in the sink. Poor little guy. He really handles it very good. But the way he looks when he is wet is hilarious! Chins are so tiny when their fur is wet.

Poor Nemo, I think the nickname is cute, I have one cage I call the pigpen as 5 min after I am done cleaning it, the boys have to mark their spots and it's not only the bedding, but walls and all.

Some chins do sit in their urine and end up with a yucky, yellow bum. I have two other white chins and their fur is as white as the driven snow. It just depends on the chinchilla.

Hey Denise,

I call Scooter our bath piggie because he takes 2 baths a day. I'm happy to say my chins do not have Nemo's unique potty problem. I think Pigpen is a very fitting name!
