dust house?

Question:
should i leave it in the cage cause it clips on or should i just have them take a bath out side of their cage.?.

Answer:
The dust bath should not be left in the cage, they only need a dust bath every 2-3 days (depending on the humidity levels). Also, not sure what kind of dust bath it is, but if it is one of the plastic bath houses, I really would not trust the clips at all, they are plastic and cannot withstand a lot of weight. You can put the bath on the floor of the cage, or give them one outside of the cage. Warning though, they will track dust.

Answer:
I have glass fish bowls that I use for dust containers and I leave them in all the time. However, there is not always dust in them. My guys like to sleep in them so I leave them be. However, they are not chewable. If you have plastic containers I would NOT leave them in and only use them when supervised.

I agree with Laurie. I have one of the plastic cages and one of the hooks broke off.

I just put the bath in the cage and then take it out once Buddy stops bathing and starts sleeping or sitting - I usually leave it in no longer than 15 minutes.
