Red River cereal
Question: There's a cereal here called red River Cereal. The only ingredients are cracked wheat, cracked rye and flax . Would this be good as a suppliment or would it be good to also add oats, wheat germ etc? Or would it not be a good idea at all? Connie Answer: I would think it would be ok sprinkled on the pellets. That stuff is so full of goodness. I remember eating it at summer camp Answer: sounds okay to me....i buy a mix at the store which has oats and all the other stuff in it as well and t hey love it Answer: It sounds good to me. Answer: Just be careful to limit the flax seeds to very few because they are very fatty (good fat, mind you - but high levels of it) and can cause intestinal upset and major diarrehea. Answer: Oooh, I think i'm going to have to go check this stuff out! I've never even heard of it, they must not sell it in the states. I'm still getting used to the minor differences here in canada. How often would you be able to give something like that to your chin, and in what quantities? Oh I know I am living in Toronto, but grew up in the states so I had never heard of this stuff, that's all i meant. I'll have to keep an eye out for it on the next trip to the grocery store! Answer: I'll never find it here Answer: Carla, you should be able to find all the ingredients at bulk food stores or health food stores I think. There's so many good suppliment recipes that would be great to try. Answer: Hi Pandaxian, Red River Cereal is available in Ontario for sure. Just look for a red box with a picture of a donkey pulling a cart. It's one of my favorite hot cereals and I guess I'll be sharing from now on. Thanks for the great suggestion Connie!
