Our first show has been scheduled!!

This is a post from our chapter treasurer...
" WE are proud to announce that the MCBA Northwest area chapter 2005 State Show is going to hold its first annual show in Boise Idaho at the Maple Grove Grange.
We are currently working hard to get this all setup for all of our members..Our goal is to have a HUGE turnout with lots of ammenities for all of the new members!!
Here is a list of the things we are planning ot have along with the live animal show....
1) Tables--You can reserve your very own table to sell your toys, chin stuff, and anything chinchilla related even the chinchilla themselves for only $25 for the whole day!!
2) Showbooks- we are currently making a show book for you advertise your ranch , your toys, etc. a full page for only $25 and half page for $15. These showbooks will be a great tool for all of us who are new to write down the judge's comments, the breeder ,the number and what the chin placed. To reserve your copy to pick up at the show in advance it is $8
3)Trophies- We are looking for anyone willing to donate trophies or $$ to pay for trophies and ribbons..So if you want the big one donated in your name get back to us quick.
4) WE are looking towards having a banquet, a 50/50 raffle, a gift table, and a live animal raffle.If you are interested in donating anything for these please pm or email me quickly...
This is for all of our members , we are a non profit organization and NEED our members suppport to get this show sanctioned and have lots of fun with this new fledgling chapter's first show!!"
So who is planning on making it? I'm donating a couple of different things for the raffle, if anyone else wants to donate that would be terrific.
If you want to buy a table to sell toys, your chins, ect. please let us know early so that you are guaranteed a spot.
If you'd like to advertise in the show book, let me know early on what you'd like because there is a deadline in January. The $25 is a full page color add including a graphic of your choice. Same with the $15 half page.

At our board meeting we discussed how you would be able to come to the shows. We'll have one up north so you can come down, or you could always fly hint hint!! It's so expensive to go anywhere these days.

Well, you know, Michelle, I saw a $330 Cdn flight deal to Vegas...which would be far easier than walking to Boise. Sophie, you and Pam can start walking, and be sure to take lots of rest breaks! I'll stay here and chinsit for you again! :P

Ooooo! Ooooo! Ooooo!!! Count me in! Count me in! I want to go to a show SO badly! If my husband gets promoted to store manager by February, we might actually be able to afford it (or afford to put it on our mastercard). And I've never been to Idaho before, so what an adventure it would be! I am keeping my fingers crossed!

I would love to go to the show, I guess I will have to start saving my pennies and letting my vacation time build up. I am in Oregon so I wont have to walk as far.
