Answer:
What a smart dog!!

Answer:
Great tricks! I especially like the hopping trick.

Answer:
Those aren't useless tricks! I'm sure they'll come in handy some time!

Answer:
I kid Ginia that she will have him tying her sneakers next. Wierdest things she thinks of to teach him sometimes. Hogan lives to please her, though. Such a sweet guy.

Answer:
That is good that he is so eager to learn. She is doing a great job with him!

Answer:
Great dog! Does he play Frisbee? Those tricks can both be used in freestyle.
Matty and Bear know speak and growl. Those are kind of useless...well, unless we're trying to record them for some reason. Their on command 'growls' are kind of a half whine, half growl. My cousin taught Bear to 'growl' and Matty picked it up from him. Matty also 'whispers'. My sister taught her that one.

Sounds very cute! Our dog Natalie whispers, too- and does a silent bark- on the commands 'quiet dog' and 'mime dog'. She is so loud sometimes, we had to teach her something. She can also speak of course, and sing (sort of a yodel) and when you say 'poor nattie' she'll whine. Wishing I had sound on my camera...

Hogan is working on the frisby. He can catch anything from the sitting position- it's the catch on the run he doesn't quite have yet- though he works hard. Would help if Natalie would stop destroying all the frisbies.

Answer:
Matty does Frisbee. When we first started I was training both her and her sister. Bear wanted in on the action too, but had no interest in retrieving so he'd grab the Frisbee and run, wouldn't let either of the girls have it. By the ttime I got it from him it had cracks and teeth marks all over it.
SkyHoundz.com is a great place to buy Frisbees. They have all different ones to choose from: glow in the dark, competition, extra tough, etc. I bought about 15-20 of the competition Frisbees 4 years ago and still have some. They're fairly tough, but soft enough to where they won't hurt they're mouth.

I need to get a glow in the dark one. Matty loves to play Frisbee in the dark (especially in the winter when it seems like it's always dark), but always ends up using her nose to find the Frisbee because she can't see it.

Answer:
That is a very great website. I recently bought one of the canvas discs to practice on- but I intend to read up more and see which disc is good for Hogan. Natalie would need the jaws one LOL She can snap a regular frisbee in half with one bite.
