Natalie Glamour Shot

Question:
She's being amazingly pleasing since the cat litter incident- waiting for me to let my guard down I am sure. This picture shows how she is not really black- Ginia says this black with gold color is called 'seal'- and I have no choice but to believe her.

Answer:
Seal? I've never seen a seal with spots like that...

Answer:
Really? I've always wondered how to define that colour.. I've never found it listed in any colour code books I've looked at..

Answer:
What a pretty girl. Love the ears!

Answer:
The debate about the color aside, Natalie pulled her next prank this morning. She did her famous bolting gag.

I almost never take Natalie out to pee because she thinks it is funny to bolt on me- doesn't do it to Virginia so she is usually Ginia's problem to empty, not mine. If I ever have to take her out, I leash her. Only this morning Ginia won't budge, Natalie needs to pee, and Ginia has taken her collar off and I can't find it and none of the chokes fit her and the leashes are all tangled and all the time I am bumbling, Natalie whining that she can't wait... so stupid me- I take her out offlead. In retrospect I should have just let her pee in the floor.

Outside, she pees, bounces back toward me, tongue flapping, happy and empty and me telling her she's a good pee-pee girl- then she stops

I moan knowing what is coming next. No point in telling her to stay- that just makes it all the more satisfying for her.

She'll turn, look down the road, then look back over her shoulder to be sure you are watching. Then she takes off- fast as she can- and my past experience with this is you chase her, she runs further and you yell at her she stays gone longer. If you are fast enough to get to the car door and yell car-ride! she'll come straight back- but if not she just runs- leaping through the tall grass on the side of the road (that is one thing- she never gets in the road- if you can consider that a blessing)- she usually goes to the curve- which is as far as she can go and still see the house- which is about 1/2 mile- and comes back. Well, this time she decides to make a detour- I can see her up on top of the hill where they cut all the trees down- galloping around with a huge log in her mouth. We take her up there every day it's not too muddy to run, just not at 8 in the morning. All I can do is sit and wait- can hear my kettle screaming and can't do anything about it- just wait until Natalie gets tired or thirsty and comes back. And she always goes straight to the door and stands looking at me like 'what you waiting for? thought you wanted to go in?'

I guess I will never learn my lesson. Seriously should have named her Loki, though.
