after reading the title, i thought maybe it was a part of Maizee,,then i thought it was the cats tail

THEN I clued in that it was a hamster named rabbit,,LOL

How did I miss this! That's like the trick where you place a treat on the dog's nose.. (except the hamster doesn't get eaten when released)

LOL I must admit- the picture was staged. I had a lot of them with Rabbit crawling on her, but they were all dark and blurry caue I couldn't use the flash. I finally got her to turn her head toward the window, dropped him on her nose and he managed to hold on for just a second. Natalie, of course, is a good girl, and loves the little critters. I wouldn't let another one of my dogs near them to save my life, though. LOL

Don't know if you can make out Natalie's left eye- which is why I was trying not to use the flash. She had a boo boo. Have no idea how it happened, but she came walking through the house a couple weeks back with blood pouring out of her eye. I totally freaked and then saw that her bottom left eyelid was just hanging off. Rush to the vet, of course, and for once Natalie didn't act a fool- like she knew she needed help. Not a single fart in the waiting room! But, in the end, all he could do was snip of the hanging bit and give us stuff to wash it with. He said there wasn't enough to stitch and risky putting glue next to her eye- and it would heal fine if we kept it clean and tried to keep the swelling down- she's just have a funny-shaped eyelid.

Well, now the eyelid itself is healing very well- though we had a few days there that the swelling was really bad even though she tolerated us laying a cool cloth on it. All around her eyelid swelled and like her eyelids turned inside out- it was pretty gross and you could tell she didn't feel good. THEN when the eyelid itself began looking better, her eye does not look so good- still very bloody- so we took her back to have that checked and he thinks it is just bruised and may have been a little scratched, too, from whatever she bumped into (I am thinking Sirius' dewclaw- he will slap her if she pesters him- and he's clawed me more than once with those talons). And the color is slowly returning to normal and she is acing normal again so I suppose the drama is concluded.

Thank you very much for the well wishes. She is much better now, though might take a long time for her eye to lose the bloodshot look.

Terrible picture taken from across the room but you can see the boo boo a bit here- you can actualy make out the bit where she's rubbed the fur off better than the actual boo boo, though.

Ouch! I guess she's lucky in a way that it didn't injure her eye directly..
