New pics of the puppies!
Question: 36 days old- and they are on solid food almost exclusively- as Lila only nurses them when she feels like it. They are so big! The biggest two boys weigh 8lbs each! and little Luna weighs just over 5 1/2! Luna: I am SOOOO in love with Luna AND Tika- but NO WAY hubby is gonna let me keep two- much less females! I spend a lot of time with my lip stuck out and he just keeps saying 'no. you know we can't' Meany! His theory- it costs twice to get three females spayed (including Lila) than Lila and one male neutered- I've offered to stop eating.... The lip thing's not working too well Tika: But look at those two! They are so friendly- and Luna- though she's the runt- is the biggest bully! Right after I took this next picture- of three of her brothers playing nicely with a stuffed animal- she walked right over there, took it, and walked off with it when there was a perfectly good stuffed animal lying a foot away that no one was using! Gotta love that spunk! Anyway, they are going next week for their first shots and then I guess we are to lose them one by one. Question... How in the HECK am I gonna get ten puppies to the vet and back? I have two cat carriers- which MIGHT hold four puppies in all- but knowing my cats- they'd FREAK if they smelled puppy in there- and they don't need another excuse to resist getting in the carrier! Any suggestions? (L-R)Booger, Cream Soda, Dexter, Gillette, Hermie, Lila, Mouse, Sirius (Not Pictured)X, Pepper, Majesty, 10 puppies Answer: What cuties! Do you have any potential adopters lined up yet?? Answer: Three have definite homes so far- though one I jsut found out they have a pitbull which I am going to insist on meeting before I let them take the puppy. I still have yet to advertise at all- these are just friends of friends, word of mouth sort of thing. After they have their shots, I can advertise that. DO you think it uncouth for me to ask people to reimburse for hte first shots/dewormer package? Answer: Awww! I would want to keep them all...but Luna is definitely my favorite. Do you have any cardboard boxes that you can transport them in? I would just cut some airholes and use those. After all, it's not like you are going to need 10 kennels in the future! I don't think that it is unreasonable to charge for the first shots and dewormer. Answer: Awww, they are growing up so quickly!!! They are adorable!!! Answer: I was thinking of loading them into laundry baskets- but I am worried about them being covered in poo and pee when I get them to the vet! Gross, I know- but they ARE babies, still, after all. Answer: They are sooooooooooooooooooooo cute Answer: Aww, look at those sweet faces! I don't think it's unreasonable to charge for shots & dewormers either. Answer: aww, they are adorable!!! Answer: I actually think that it is a good idea to charge an 'adoption' fee for the puppies... if they make a fuss about it, that will tell you right away what kind of Vet care the dog will receive in the future.
