i am getting a lab puppy. but i havent figured up which color i should get. so help me pick!

I like the silver labs, I know its still up in the air if this color really exists or where it came from but they are my fav
out of the colors you listed there i would defiantely have to go with chocolate

I'm kind of biased though, my late dog Pest was half Black Lab...and he was one of the best dogs, very well behaved, loyal, protective (but not to protective) and smart.

i am the lab for my mom, we are going to train it to help her around the house. do little task that her stoke has cause her not to do so simply like bring the phone ....etc.

Uh, I thought labrador retrievers came in three accepted colours: Black, Yellow, and Chocolate. Could you point me to a webpage that shows brown, gold and silver labs?
Btw, what I've heard, is that Chocolate labs tend to be a bit more high strung.
And my two cents -- the colour isn't as important as health and temperament! Have fun with whatever colour of puppy you get!

I don't know if it is just a coincidence... but at work (I work at an animal hospital) the black labs seem easier to handle and are calmer. Of course, this could just be an owner problem.
