How can someone 'forget' that they have a dog in their basement for 2 months?

Don't take it literally CJ.. they didn't actually forget they had a dog down there... they just neglected to feed & water the poor thing...

When I get my paycheque, I'm going to donate towards his recovery. He was so small that they thought he was 4 months old, he's actually 1 year old. I can't believe he survived without food or water for 2 months

that poor guy!!! you cant realy even tell what kind of dog he is supposed to be.... that is so sad.. Im sure he had to have eaten something tho.. I dont see how he would have survived 2 months without eating anything at all.. wonder what he ate..

It is a miracle he survived that long! Thank God someone rescued him. He is so gaunt! The poor baby. Once he recovers he is going to be a gorgeous dog.

The rescue will only adopt him out to a home that is experienced with the breed and know his issues. If I was starved in my first few years of life, I'd have food guarding issues too! Hopefully he will overcome that issue with the right family

Such a skinny puppy but very pretty. Makes me so sad to see stuff like that. I hope he get's a great and loving home.
