Question:
scott and i both worked late last night and pippin and joey were at my mom's house for the evening( to keep an eye on pippins stitches) anyway i didnt get home till around midnight, scott fed the dogs when he got home around 1100pm. so i was sitting in the computer room catching up on POTN when pippin starts to hyperventilate and starts gagging, scott takes him in the kitchen thinking he is going to throw up and he tries to throw up but nothing comes out. then i notice his stomach is huge and rock hard. so i called the emergency clinic and explain the s/s and the vet tech tells me to get him there immeidately as it sound like bloat.
great my brother had a bloodhound die of bloat so by now i am in a panic. as soon as we arrive at the clinic they take him back for xray.

the good news was that his stomach hadnt twisted, but the bad news was he had gotten into food and eaten until his stomach was the size of a watermelon. ( my parents are not always overly good about watching pippin and he snuck on the back porch and gorged himself on the food, they leave the 50 lb bag back there) so they made him throw up everything and sent us on our merry way ( minus 150.00$)

so there went ALL my xmas money and last 2 paychecks, cause as some may remember he had surgery on thursday

I know I shouldn't laugh, but it's hard not to! It's even better when you rush them to the vet and then, once you get there, they are acting normal like nothing was ever wrong.

the emergency clinic just thought it was so funny, they had him throw up and he was trying to get at the food to eat it again ( i know but everyone with a sick sense of humor and a lab will understand) they were laughing and calling him a typical labrador
