Question:
As some of you may have read on a previous thread, a stray dog had 11 puppies under our house back the first or second week of December. We found mama a good home and 1 puppy died and 9 puppies were adopted this past week. This one did not find a home- and we are trying to convince Steve to let us keep her. It's hard on him as it's only been a month since Conner was killed and he wants us to advertise again- but he likes her- which is obvious- so looks like we MIGHT just have a new dog... Ginia is calling her Natalie. She's very quiet and timid- nothing like Conner at all. I don't know what she is mixed of- the mama dog was black with some white and medium sized.

Yeah- he took it pretty hard. I had to call him from work to come bury him. Steve's a rally big dog and cat person- he saves his affections for Booger and Sirius mostly- but Conner was getting past his irritating super large puppy stage and Steve was just starting to bond with him. It seems to be the hardest for him when it's a waste of a life.

Natalie seems to be staying, though- so she will have to go to the vet this Friday for her first shots. I dread the vet asking me about Conner. He always seems to take it personally when a patient dies.
