Question:
Just wondering how often people walk their dog.

Taz is walked at least every other day. We try to do it everyday but sometimes we have conflicting plans. We usually try to go for a pretty good hike, at least 1-2 km...today was 2.5 km.

Don't forget a proper warm up and cool down on those long walks!

Mine are walked twice a day.. The distance depends on the time of year.. It was really nice today so we had a pretty good walk.. (Koko even walked about 2 blocks of that!)

In the summer, I take them for 2 walks a day, each about 30 mins. long (so I'm basically out for 3 hours... b/c we have 3 dogs and my brother won't walk his). But when there is school, it's usually about 4 times a week, once a day.

I try to walk Lavander everyday in the mini-park in front of the apartment but with work started I get dead tired at night and fall into bed with her at the end of the day.

We go out three times a day, though we don't really walk. There's a field at the back of the appartment complex that Dante runs in until he's tired then we go in At the new place though, he'll pry have to be actually walked as there isn't an area where he can go off leash. There is a park right infront of the complex (though small) so atleast he has room to run on leash.

Since Callie is my Service dog she goes everywhere I do, so she gets walked a lot. I only marked 5-6 times a week, which I meant 5-6 days a week. Sometimes more than once a day. lol. Once the weather clears up for good we'll also start our night jog.

My other dog Ginger... she doesn't really like to go on walks anymore. She is 15 though so I dont blame her! lol. She'd just as well run in the front or back yard, pee, then get back on the couch and sleep!

i am really trying to lose weight, and poor lucy has to go along for the ride

we walk about a mile every other day or so, though i'm trying to make it up to every day.

i was thinking, with the thread about older dogs, that lucy may start slowing down. she's a basset, about 7 maybe 8 years old, so she's definately not a puppy and getting up there for her breed..but she still goes and goes! though, i have noticed that, while she doesn't want to stop while we're walking, once we DO stop, she's in the shade and resting

My dogs are out about 3 days a week. We have a big fenced yard though that they are always running around in. When we go for walks they usually last at least an hour, so they get lots of outside time.

I usually take my doxies out for a good walk about once a week. they normally get the excercise needed by running around the house, or in the big outdoor kennel we put up just for them.

since i have 2 small dogs and a big back yard, i put 1-3 times a week. some weeks they only go once, and others they will go twice or three times. this past week they went twice i think. jim took them on a 1 hr walk on some trails at the park yesterday and we walked them around the neighborhood earlier in the week. so they get a lot of exercise with that and with running in the yard and house.
