Help with food?
Question: Spencer is almost done his current bag of food so I figure I will try him on something new. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions as to which brand they think would be the best to try. I need a diet that is good for VERY active dogs (we are talking over an hour of solid running a day). He is 4 years old in perfect physical shape if not a little skinny, but I can't fatten him up when he won't sit still for even 5 minutes I've notice he prefers lamb and rice mixtures the most too. Two things, Spence is allergic to Nutro so that won't do and I don't want to have to ship food across border (way to much hassle). So, anything available in Canada would be great! I do not want this to end in a fight so can everyone just post once about which food they would recommend at leave it at that? Thanks guys! Answer: What are you feeding him now Answer: He's currently on Pedigree Answer: Ew, Pedigree. Try Calfornia Natural, it comes in a Chicken and Rice and Lamb and Rice formulas. Answer: Im not sure whats available in Canada but you could check the store locators on the various websites to find out for sure. Here are a few good brands and their websites: Go! Natural - www.forpets.ca/go_dog.html Innova & California Natural - www.naturapet.com Solid Gold Mmellenia - www.solidgoldhealth.com Timberwolf Organics - www.timberwolforganics.com Natural Balance - www.naturalbalanceinc.com Answer: Royal Canin is also a pretty good brand, what is your budget like? There are brands to fit every purse Answer: CJ, I don't have a budget actually. I just want to find a food that he will actually like. I just don't want to spend $50 on a bag and not have him eat it. I'll pick up a couple of the brands mentioned in 'trial size' and see how it goes over with him. Hopefully I'll find something that we can both be happy with. He is a stubborn dog, lol Answer: Check if your store will let you return a bag if he won't eat it. At the store where I get my food from, they will take the bag back if your dog won't eat it, even the big bags, lol! Answer: My new favorite is Nature's Variety. No mystery ingredients, real meat, no low quality grains...it's wonderful! The have stores in Oakville and Kitchener in ON. Here is a link to the dog foods...just scroll down to the dry kibble diets section. http://naturesvariety.com/canine/ Answer: Any news yet, Rincewind? Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
