desperate need for a home for 3 year old rottie male

Question:
my adopted daughter and her fiancee and their infant son have moved out of town to a catholic community thing to help him with his illness and they have to find a home for their 3 year old rottweiler male. i have known this dog since he was 5 weeks old. we had a home with his mother, but her landlord has ot only change his mind about allowing her to keep him, but he has also said she has a few days to get rid of him or he will call the pound or he will just shoot him his self. the problem is, there is no where here to drop him, shelter wise, even if they wanted to. and i know noone who can take him even for the short term until i can find a home for him. here are the particulars.
his name is max. he is very well behaved except he does not like other male dogs. he is very very protective. he loves people, children, female dogs, and most other anmials scare him. one drawback...he has NOT been fixed. vern was THE MAN and could not bear to "cut his n**s" . MEN!!! max has been raised with two small small children through his life and will lay there and allow ear pulls and bites and drools, he is a great dog. i wish i could have him, but i can not.
the thing is, this is a serious worry. i know the landlord of this trailer park and he has gotten away with this crap before and vern's mother does not care enough about max to fight him or to move. and the tiny town they live in will do nothing about any of this.
he is located in richland, missouri. if there is serious interest, we might be able to get some partial transport-depending upon location. i don't kow. it just depends.

Answer:
Have you tried posting for help on the Petfinder message boards as well? There is quite a dedicated group of rescuers who post and read there regularly that might be able to help as well: www.petfinder.com

Answer:
i have posted there, unfortunately...they will not let maxx go to a rescue or a shelter...only a family. it is not ok for him tog et shot...but it is not ok for him to go to a rescue in order to keep the landlord from hurting him. i am so angry. he is such a darn good dog! you can even say, "max, go to your room, and he will go lay down in his designated area. and the babies have drooled and chwed and pulled and puched all over him and he has loved every minute of it. loyal baby without loyal oners....breaks my heart.

Answer:
There are lots of people willing to foster on Petfinder as well, so he wouldn't end up in a shelter in a cage. Perhaps work out something with a foster family and let them take him in without letting your adopted daughter know they are with a rescue?

Answer:
not a single response yet on petfinder or here or anywhere else and i got a call from my daughter's fiancee's mom...the landlord hit maxx in the face with a big stick last night. hard. i am startng ti really worry.
