Meet Orlando

Question:
I had planned on getting an APBT pup from a tech at one of the other clinics in our area, but decided to wait for financial reasons.
However last night while looking through petfinder.com I came across a sad situation and fell instantly in love with the male shown here http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=5180065 after emailing the rescue and her emailing back, I was about 90% sure he was going to be mine. I talked to her on the phone today for about 40 minutes or so and filled out the online application, and she has assured me he will be waiting for my arrival when I return from Texas (12th-19th).
The story behind this little guy and his littermates is this in short form:
They were removed by a court order, the mother as sweet and beautiful as she was had been destroyed that afternoon, the pups were to be destroyed as well. However a worker from the local AC talked to the judge and assured the judge they had a puppy rescue that could take the pups in, so they contacted Hugs for Hounds and sure enough she was able to take in the pups. However the court made it clear that if the pups weren't adopted in 3 weeks they were to be euthanized .... and AC would only allow her to take 1/2 the litter (3) and if she could get them adopted they would allow her to take the other 3 .... Currently she still has available 2 female pups.
I will post another thread asking for their help.
I just wanted to introduce you all to my new little boy that will be joining our family the weekend of October 22nd

Answer:
OMG he is so cute Kim. I'm so glad you were able to save him!

What a sad story. I can't believe the way these dogs are treated.

Answer:
Thanks Steph ... he is a true cutie ... and yes it is very sad how this breed and other "bully" breeds get treated

Answer:
Kim have you posted about them on: http://www.pitbullforum.com ? You could also try here: http://bulliesinneed.fivepixelmedia.com/forum/index.php There's a section for dogs in need outside of Ontario, and there are a few American rescue groups there. They may be able to help further.
