Question:
Eeyore is having problems with his hind end, so we brought him in to the vet. They said he needs x-rays, and he'll have to be sedaited (sp?) so he's going in tomorrow morning. I think he may have hip displaisa (sp?)... although we won't know for sure until we see the x-rays.

What breed is Eeyore?

He's a 8-9 year old basset hound. We've had him for 4 years, and I think he was 5 when we got him (my mom accidentally threw away his pedigree when going through a bunch of other records and papers- so I don't remember for sure how old he is but I can find out from his prevous owner)

Well, the vet said that he has some narrow discs in his back and that his left hip isn't seeded as well as his right (now, I don't know if it's worded right but that's what my mom told me. We also got him tested for Thyroid problems, since he's so over weight... I should know what's up with that in a few days.

Not exactly sure. I know that he is on about 2-3 types of pills... and they said to keep him quiet but with 2 other dogs it's not exactally easy. They are going to have another vet look at the x-rays also.
