Listen up Ontario pit bull owners!

Question:
*Crossposted, because she said it so well!-DON'T play with your dogs' life!!*

SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PIT BULLS NOW!!!!
Failure to alter your pit bull before Oct28 will result in your pit bull being considered a BANNED dog, meaning ILLEGAL to own, meaning an automatic DEATH SENTENCE for your dog!
If you surrender your pit bull type dog unaltered to a shelter after Oct.28, it will be considered "banned" and it will be automatically PTS. If anyone enforcing this law finds a pit bull type dog, whether a stray, or with it's owner unaltered, they can confiscate your dog, PTS and charge you.
Throughout the city/province, myself and others have seen NUMEROUS pit bull type dogs unaltered!! This is just unacceptable! You are risking their lives! Please alter your pit bull and save it's life! If you are looking for low-cost spay/neuter clinics, please e-mail
bullies_in_need@hotmail.com with your contact info/location.
I just can't believe the number of people i have personally spoken with that refuse to alter there dogs...they just don't "get it" So not only are "dumped" pit bulls getting killed, so will the owned ones where the owner just couldn't give a sh!t

Answer:
Liz, there are people breeding their Pit Bulls that live in Ontario! I always check the Hoobly ads to see what kind of morons are out there and sure enough, I found an ad for a breeding that just took place in Ontario!

Answer:
Excuse me, but no, unaltered pit bulls and pit bull type dogs surrendered to any Humane Society in Ontario after the pit bull ban are not automatically euthanized. According to the pit bull legislation (the link to read it is below), humane societies are allowed to continue adopting out pit bulls after the pit bull legislation is in place -- as long as the dogs leave the building fixed, licensed, are on leash and are wearing a muzzle.
Besides, why would responsible dog owners surrender their dogs after October 28th? Humane societies aren't going door to door, enforcing the legislation. The enforcement is the responsibility of municipal and provincial governments. And if the Ontario Gov't doesn't have the money to insure safe drinking water in many of the Native reservations, it sure in heck doesn't have the money to go door to door rounding up dogs.
This kind of hysteria is very misleading and risks putting pit bulls and pit bull type dogs in even more danger. People owning these now restricted dogs should remain CALM, read the legislation, and if they have questions, speak with their local humane societies or with their MPP. Owners of these dogs should also speak with their veterinarians about having their dogs fixed. The Ontario Veterinary Medical Association has created strict guidelines for all vets in Ontario -- all Ontario vets are NOT to become involved in the pit bull ban, are NOT to report unfixed / unmuzzled dogs to the government, and are NOT to testify that a dog may or may not be a pit bull or pit bull type dog.
Please stop spreading misinformation.
