Women killed by a doberman she adopted

New pet dog kills Medford woman.
This is sad I wonder what triggered such a reaction from the doberman?

That is very sad. It sounds like the shelter did all they could to make sure that the dog was safe...I too wonder what happened.

According to this article, the previous owner paid to have the dog put to sleep and cremated but somehow it ended up in adoptions.

Well, if the previous owner paid to have the dog put to sleep and cremated because of the biting problem, isn't the shelter obliged to carry out her wishes? Especially after they took her money for what she thought they promised to do.

It said they are investigating the shelter to see what happened...but if the shelter was in fact told about the biting history, the shelter had a duty to public safety to euthanize the dog...I'm wondering if the dog was temperment tested before it was adopted? It is very distressing to hear about these types of incidents...that poor woman
