Hi! i am new so i wanted to let every one know that i know something about dogs. I have a cute 6th month old Shetland sheepdog or a sheltie. She is SO energetic! My mom says we might breed her when she gets older. We got her from my uncle in oklahoma. I do not have any pics of her yet but as so as i do i will post them! Oh i almost forgot to tell you how smart she is. She learned sit in about 2 days! She learned shake in 2 days! She Learned Lay down and roll over in 3 days! She learned stay in about a Week!

Shelties are definately energetic, they are bred for herding sheep which means they are usually running around the farm all day, that requires a very high energy dog!
I'm glad you are having fun with your puppy, Shelties are so smart too, sounds like you are keeping her occupied with teaching her tricks

Yes, Shelties are smart & cute!!! My Grandmom owns a sheltie named Poco, it means small in Italian yet we think Poco is part Collie b/c he's so big! Breeding would be cool; good luck with everything!

Oh i also forgot to mention her problem... she was born with a bab heart. her heart has some kind of defect that could kill her. the vet said that if i take her on daily walks and runs, her heart will become stronger and she live!
