I have to admit until I worked at a veterinarian clinic, I had no idea either has much was involved even with "simple" surgeries.

Bull****. Nobody lets a complete stranger operate on a loved one, don't care how stupid they are. If he couldn't afford the vet bill, he shouldn't have bought the dog.Period.

Not everyone treats their pets as loved ones, more often than not, pets are seen as objects.
At least the owner knew enough to get his dog neutered, but to have it done in someone's garage?? I guess he didn't want to spend that much money on his 'object' which is ironic since he's spent a lot more for emergency surgery etc.
