Do you think they will notice?

Question:
Dogsitting for a friend-

They brought us little Penny aka Ping Ping...

And Buttons...

But now Buttons looks like this:

Think they'll notice I cut all their dog's hair off? LOL

Answer:
Uh oh. Penny looks in the last photo as if she's saying, 'If you slip a bone my way, I'll forget who's responsible for the haircut...'

Answer:
Umm.. no, I.m sure they won't!! How come you gave her a trim?

Answer:
ROFL! How long are they by you? Maybe it will grow back quickly,
Do you think they will mind?

Answer:
I am not sure how long the will be here- couple days to a week or so. Their people have had a death in the family. Buttons was pretty matted- they say that she won't let them brush her, but she didn't mind the clippers and the bath we gave her. I told them I was going to bathe her- but not cut her- there really wasn't much of a choice. She's like 14 years old- found lots of gray under all that black. She's a sweet little dog- her eyes are sad, though. They took her in from an older relative who couldn't take care of her anymore. Penny is my old buddy- she's stayed with us lots of times. I always forget how little she is, though. Titus has been working hard to make friends with her. LOL

Answer:
What kind of dog is Penny? The first pic reminds me of my old dog Tammy who ran away when I was little, I still remember her running up the sidewalk in Africa and me crying for her and her not even looking back......

I hope they don't mind you cutting the hair, I'm sure it feels much better without the matts, poor little Buttons.

Answer:
Penny is half dachsund and half chihuahua.

Well, the dad just stopped by to check on them before he headed down to be with the rest of the family. His exact words: 'Good. She needed it.' And then said she seemed happier.

They are fully integrated into the household now- though they rarely get down out of your lap. I hope they sleep with GInia and the other dogs tonight! Those little stinkers are serious pillow hogs!

Looks like they will be sith us until Sunday.

Answer:
Phew! I'm glad he didn't mind. But then, if she needed it, who cares what he thinks, though, right? They're both adorable

Answer:
I can't remember if I posted it on here, or read it here...but unkept pet fur can get you in some serious trouble. The SPCA somewhere had picked up a dog who's furr was something like 10lbs extra on this tiny little creature.

In my opinion...if the pet isn't willing to let the owners take care of the mats by brushing them out (which can be painful) they should spend the bit of money to get the dog groomed by a professional.

Answer:
And mats can cause moisture to be trapped, causing a whole host of skin problems
