Question:
My husband once fell in love with this little Miniature Pinscher a while back, ever since he has wanted one. Well in this morning paper we see an ad for 8 weeks old miniature pinschers and their ready to go AND they are only 5 min from my house. I would love a new little dog, but have a few questions which I can't seem to find anywhere with a quick search on the net. First I have a 9 year old Golden mix who does get along with other dogs. Will she get used to a puppy in the house IF we get one? Are these types of dog the type of little dogs that bark at everything? Are they a good family dog? Are they agressive? I have two kids 8 and 11 are they ok with kids? Anyone know anything about these cute little dogs? The one we saw was so sweet and so darn cute and extremely friendly. Is that their typical temperment?
We do plan on visiting to see what the parents are like, so that will be great.

I don't know too much about the breed, but I did meet one in person and they DO seem like sweet little dogs. All I can say is, we brought Savannah home and Dakota did get use to her. She did get a little jealous, but with extra attention she was fine. Usually its easier when you bring a puppy into the house as a second dog vs. bringing an adult dog, since puppies are *usually* submissive. I don't know how Amber does with same gender dogs, usually same gender dogs don't get along, in my case they did. Use your judgement with that, Amber seems to me like a pretty laid back, easy going dog.
