Dog's Dry Nose?
Question: I have heard the myths about being able to tell if a dog is sick by their nose, and I'm not sure if that is true or not, but i'm just curious about why both my dogs have really dry and cracked noses and no one else's dog that I know of has that. My dogs' noses are always dry too, not just every once in a while. I was just wondering if I should be worried about this, or if it is sunburn. What do you recommend? Answer: Have you talked to your vet to rule out a skin condition? If they eat/drink out of a plastic bowl, this could also contribute. As a rule, though, dry/wet noses don't mean a dog is sick/healthy. Many dogs have dry noses but are perfectly healthy. Answer: If a dog's nose is very dry for a long period, to the point where it's cracking, I would probably see my vet as there are some conditions that can cause this.
