4 week old kittens
Question: My kittens are 4 weeks old now i just went and got them a small litter box and some non clumping litter, but what i was wondering is when do i introduce them to kitten food? How often do i give it to them?Any insight on how i go about feeding them and when to get them off of mommas nipple would be great. Answer: When I foster kittens I usually start by offering canned kitten food mixed up with warm water at about 3-4 weeks old. As they get older I cut back and eventually stop putting water in the food. At about 6 weeks old I start leaving dry kitten food and drinking water down for them as well. They likely won't stop nursing from Mom until they have left her for good (ie i've seen 4 month old kittens still nursing!). Are these the persians? I'd love to see pics, it's one of my favourite cat breeds! Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
