Was at the vet today with our new kitty...while there, saw this cute little white kitty in a cage behaving oddly. I asked about it and was told she was coming out of anesthesia following surgery to neaten up the amputation performed by a lawn mower. Apparently, it liked to ride on the owner's lap while mowing the lawn and took off suddenly after a bird or something, the mower deck running over its leg. So sad. Seems like it's a miracle the cat survived the blood loss of an injury of that nature.

Note to self: even though it's cute, leave the cat in the house when mowing the lawn.
