Cant find the poem
Question: Im looking for the poem that was posted a couple times about putting a pet to sleep when its time has come. A friend really needs to read it! Ive tried seraching and cant seem to find it Thanks! Sarah Answer: Is this the one you mean? If It Should Be If it should be that I grow frail and weak And pain should keep me from my sleep Then you must do what must be done For this last battle can't be won. You will be sad, I understand Don't let your grief stay your hand For this day, more than all the rest Your love and friendship stands the test. We've had so many happy years What is to come can hold no fears Would you want me to suffer so? When that time comes please let me go. Take me where my needs they'll tend But stay beside me to the end And hold me firm and speak to me Until my eyes no longer see. I know in time that you will see The kindnmess that you do for me Although my tail it's last has waved From pain and suffering I've been saved. Do not grieve, it must be you Who decides this thing to do We've been so close, we two, these years Remember joy amoung your tears. ~Author Unknown~ Answer: I love that poem, it's written so well. It always makes me cry though. Here's a great website with a ton of poems about pet loss. A lot of them are really good: http://www.petloss.com/poems/poems.htm Answer: Yes!!! this the one, thank you so much Sarah Answer: you're welcome it is a sad, but wonderful poem.
