Question:
My cat has been hacking on a hairball for about 3 weeks now and can't seem to get it up. Does anyone have any tricks of what I can give to him to help it come up? I have tried to give him butter but it didn't work.

1/4 teaspoon of petroleum jelly (try putting it on cats paws, so it will lick it off) You can usually find Tuna flavoured petroleum jelly in pet store.
This seems to work with my long haired cat, when he has trouble.

mix that with a little soy lecithin (buy the capsules and break 1-2) and mix into Vaseline.....yum yum yum!! it's a great emulsifier and is actually GOOD for your kitty!!
