Mommas Boy or possible antisocial

Question:
Hi guys. I always thought is was really sweet that harley always wanted to be near me, But this is where I am confused.
I was really sick on the past weds, my mom came over to watch my daughter. Harley went to see her, but after a bit came to lie down next to me, after a few hours, she went to take him outside for his nightly walk.
HE would not budge. He did not want to get up and go at all, he wanted to stay next to me.
Another couple of times, a friend who came over, who he knows very well. Wanted to take him for a walk. Have you ever seen rotties put brakes on, well I have, he stuck out his paws in front of him, and turned around towards me. Once again he did not want to leave mommies side.
Is this a possible problem, or is Harley really only a one woman dog.?????

Answer:
It sounds normal to me that he doesn't want to leave you. You're his "pack" and no dog wants to leave the pack.

My last dog was like that. He was very friendly to everyone, but nothing was stronger than his desire to stay with us.

Answer:
But even in the home.???? He is very clingy when I am there. If I leave him somewhere he is fine, just in the home it is worse

Answer:
Well, it depends. In the house, does he act nervous or anxious as he follows you around, or he just wants to be nearby?

Some dogs are just "velcro" and want to be near you, but are calm and happy about it. Many people love velcro dogs, and many (like me) do not.

Answer:
he is happy and content. But glued to my leg. 100 + shadow

Answer:
When your friend wanted to take Harley for a walk, was that the first time? And are you the only one who walks him (most of the time?).

If so, it all sounds normal. When you were sick, he didn't want to leave you because he sensed you weren't well. Otherwise, some dogs can get really set in their ways about routine. Only one person is allowed to walk them. Other dogs, anyone who shakes a leash is a walk-buddy.

I might worry about antisocial if Harley started to growl or lunge at visitors, but he sounds like a Momma's boy. BTW, didn't you post in a thread a couple of weeks ago that you had recently moved? Maybe Harley isn't totally settled yet, and just doesn't want any more changes to his life like new walkers.
