Cat in heat outside

Question:
After a sleepless night I feel like a rag-doll this morning
Last night there was a very persistant female outside my patio-doors.
She was meowing so loudly,I had to check if she was hurt..later realizing she was in heat and had spotted my 3 Stooges inside.
Needless to say,we had a hellish night, she just would not go away,no matter what we tried and my cats(all neutered) were going bonkers, even spraying..
We gave up trying to shoo her away, she would just come back and I am dreading another night like this one.
Strangely enough,my Rocky who usually gets very aggressive seeing a strange cat, seemed to be terrified and still this morning seems scared
I curse people who don't s/n their cats,I know this little girl has a home,I've seen her before, but not like this

Answer:
Oh no...I know how it feels having had Tess in heat in the house
If you know the cat, do you think you can ask the owners to spay her. The last thing you need is giving refuge to some kittens soon becasue they are homeless

Answer:
CPietra,I know the cat, from having seen her before, she has a collar but no tags. She is not a stray, but I have no idea where she lives
We are just about to take ours outside for a bit,but first we have to make sure she's not hunkering down somewhere.
I believe that would be one sure thing that would have my otherwise obedient cats, jump the fence
I am happy for your and Tess sake she is ok now

Answer:
Hi Chico, yes Tess is doing fine. She gets her stitches out soon and I hope all will go back to normal. Well as normal as it could be in a house of 5 cats and a dog.

Answer:
Unless you want a litter of kittens in your yard, I strongly suggest getting her spayed and letting her recover in your garage (if you have one). Then you can either try getting her a good home, or release her.
