what happens to your pets when you go away on vacation??

I live across the street from my mom's friend and when I leave she comes in and feeds my kitties and piggy, but since i'm considering moving to a different side of town, I'm thinking "who will feed the cats after??"

Are there any services in Montreal where someone comes to feed the pets and clean the litter box, etc??
I wouldn't want to take them to kitty boarding, wouldn't it suck being in a cage for a week??

You don't have any friends who could do it? All my friends will kitties always arrange for a friend who goes to school nearby or works nearby to drop in. Are you moving east or west? If you move north-west, I might be close enough..

But thinking about it, I think I'll be staying here for another year. I mean right now, the frustration of finding a pet friendly place is getting to me. Anything good has "no pets allowed". Prissy landlords!

So for the good of my furry butt critters I think i'll stay in this apartment, mostly because I have someone who lives so close who can feed my cats.
I was thinking about this and I want to go camping around Ontario this summer, and if i move... my cats will starve!! ack!

so i'll stay...I figure another year won't be that bad....and I get to keep my pets and perhaps be able to forster a dog.
