how do I deoderize a dog bed?
Question: Last night I noticed an icky smell - I think it is cat pee. It is on the dog bed. I think it is this bed - but it is a different color http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...&brow se=&s=1 I zipped off the cover and am washing it, but the middle thing is stuffed with stuffing and cedar chips it seems. So, I sprayed febreeze on it, but that may not help. Do I have to cut it open, throw away the stuffing and re-stuff it? I have some stuffing and I think I can buy cedar bedding at a pet store but that seems like a lot of trouble. Any other ideas? Thank you, Dana Answer: I'd use a cleaner made for pet urine, such as Nature's Miracle, dry it in the sun, and then febreeze. Answer: That`s worth a try but I think the urine has seeped right down to the stuffing just like it seeps down through a carpet into the underlay. Might be worth just buying a new one when they go on sale. Answer: If it has soaked in, you're best off waiting until Costco has them in again and purchase new ones. I had to do that with Simon and Peaches' old beds after he had his kidney/bladder issues. Nothing I did got the underlying scent out. Thank goodness they're relatively cheap (at least they are here stateside) Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
