Hi i need help about 5 months ago my standard poodle pup had a stick in the roof of his mouth. well i noticed that his breath was smelling again like it did when he had the stick in there. well i looked in his mouth and saw this dot at first i thought it was a stick that went through his tongue. but then i got a flash light .and i saw it was a purple dot i know that chows have them but does this mean he is mixed with chow?

I have had several pure BRED dogs and not one of them had a purple dot on their tongue.

The way to tell if you have a purebred dog is to buy it from a reputable breeder and make sure you get registration papers.

He also may have reinjured that part of his mouth, hence the pigmentation or bruising. If you're extremely concerned about his breath and this change, I'd take him to see your regular vet next chance.
