Cat won"T toilet outside
Question: Hi phoebe here,i have a four month old cat and he loves to play out all the day but he is still coming home for his litter tray. WHAT can i do? Answer: Where to start.... Why are you leaving a 4 month old kitten outside all day? Having cats means having litterboxes. Do you expect him to go out in the winter, rain, at night etc to go? Does he stay in at night? He needs his box then. Do you want him outside 24/7? Is he neutered? You should be glad he uses his box. Many cats don't. If you keep leaving him out all day you won't need to worry that he's using his box. Outdoor kittens don't live very long. If you don't want your kitten in the house, and you don't want a litterbox, may I ask why you got a kitten? I am not being mean, I really want to know. Answer: I agree with Lucky, and would like to know why as well. And why so many (MAD) signs?? Isn't it better he uses a litterbox and not your carpet??!! I must say, I have never seen a post where someone is "mad" that their cat is using a litterbox Answer: Actually also its not that considerate to let you cats go pee - poop outside -as you may not know where he is doing his business I really hate going into my garden and finding cat poop in there. I do like cats though don't get me wrong I would love to have one myself but hubby won't let me. Answer: Ditto. I feel sorry for your cat. Please don't hit him or 'rub his nose' in his 'mistakes'. Better to rehome him if you can't handle the messy part of cat ownership. And do it earlier rather than later, before he internalizes any negative messages you may be giving him and goes all neurotic. I have three litterboxes and yes, it's a hassle and sometimes a bit stinky, however clean I keep them, but it's nothing compared to the pleasure my beasts give me. There are covered litter boxes available. That may be a solution. Maybe you're not a cat person. No shame in that. Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
