Question:
I came to this forum a few weeks ago, and picked up a two year old thread, after searching for "bumps" on the internet, after my little Dachshund had some harder wart like bumps on his side.
I promised some of the helpful members here that I'd give an update , after seeing my vet, and thought, instead of finding the old thread, I'd just start a new one.
My Vet thought at first glance, that it could be a cyst from an ingrown hair folicle.
He inserted a needle, but could not extract anything. while wondering, if a skin biopsy was needed, I squeezed arround on it, and low and behold, puss did start to seep out of the needle entrance.
It was older and harder puss, but never the less, ended up a totally normal cyst.
We lanced both bumps, and emptied them as much as they would on their own, and will leave them allone now.
YAY!! I'm just so glad, that I dont have some cancerous growth.
