Hi All,

We (Echo and I) just moved to Dorval Quebec, and we need to find a good vet close by. Nothing wrong, thank god, but just in case. Also, a 24hr Emergency vet would be helpful!

If you don't mind going about half an hour by car,Pierrefonds Animal Hospital on Pierrefonds blvd is great.I moved to Ontario a few years ago and still use them,as well as Hawkesbury which is about five minutes from us.For twenty four hour there is DMV on the trans canada,I think it's in St laurent.very expensive!!

There are two options for vets right in Dorval, one is Dr. Bob Langill who works at Cote de Liesse Animal Hospital and has reasonable rates...

The other is on Dorval Ave, across from Maxi's, don't remember the name but the vet that owns it is from Brussels and she is very kind and gentle with animals and also reasonable.

DMV is on 55th ave in Lachine, just off cote de liesse, and although very costly, in an emergency someone is there 24/7.

Dr Bob is our vet and does our rescue work too. He is so good with the animals and I like the fact that the vet tech lives on the premises, so the hospitalized animals are not left alone overnight.

I use the kennels there when I have to travel for business. Not only are the kennel staff great to my guys and spoil them rotten, but it is an added comfort to know their vet is right there if anything goes wrong and I am stuck in Newfoundland, or wherever. And that someone lives there in case of fire etc at the kennels.

The first time we had to go to Dr Bob was to put Callie down (I knew she had terminal liver cancer before we moved here.) My vet had faxed her records to Dr. Bob. Dr. Bob took the time to read her chart fully, and make note of the arthritis in her right wrist, so he made the final injection in her left paw so it would not hurt her.

I live in St Leonard and travel to Dorval to use Dr. Bob.

I have Dr. Davis for the Doval Cilinic. She is wonderful with Cashew. I think she is very great. THe other vet the owner is just as great, but only have met her once.
