Looking for Doggy Day Care type place in hurry
Question: I live near Windsor, and will be travelling to Georgina, Ontario tommorow as my Grandmother passed away. I cannot leave Bubba with anyone so we are bringing him with us. However, I do not know what to do with him the day of the funeral. He cannot be left at my parents house as he gets into eveything and there is no way of making it safe. Everyone we know will be attending. Does anyone know of a doggy day care type place that I could take him to for 1/2 a day in the Georgina area (Pefferlaw, Sutton, Keswick)?? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Answer: I'm sorry for your loss. As for your question, Barrie is a bit of a drive from Keswick/Georgina, but my obedience school also does doggy daycare. I can give you their name & number if you need it. Let me know. Answer: Hi there I know of one that is pretty close to that area. This is the place I applied for a job there and worked there for 6 hours for a trial, they ended up taking another person with more experience than I, they then called me back to see if I wanted to do some part time hours but I had already found a new full time job by then. Nice place .....dogs have a huge yard there and are playing all the time, and the people there are wonderful and caring. The owners name is Glen and the managers name is Hillary. Not sure about the short notice they usually like to meet the dog first, and be sure that it is UTD with their shots. You can tell them that Deborah recommended them to you if you like. I used to live in Udora which is on the edge of Georgina.....it would be a 10-15 minute drive south Answer: Thank you! I will give them a call today. Answer: You might not need to limit yourself to doggie day cares. In a pinch, my kennels have kept my dogs for a few hours (i.e. up to 9-5) and charged me less that their full rate, as they did not have to feed them and they did not stay overnight. Sorry, I am not familiar with kennels in that area. I would offer my niece's service (Keswick) but she had a baby this week, so she kinda has her hands full (newborn, 2 yr old and 4 yr old). Please accept our condolences on your loss as well. Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
