Georges's day at the vet
Question: Well,my adopted boy George is now under and getting neutered. I am also getting him the lion cut to get rid of his matting. Took him over last night and I felt terrible. To me it felt like leaving a child behind,I was almost in tears, and I have only had him a week and a half! I will be getting him later in the afternoon and when we come back I will post a pic of him sporting his new hair cut.I am assuming he is going to be one ticked off cat. But hey,at least it won't be only his butt that is shaved Answer: Nuttymeg,I am sooo looking forward to his pics and yes,he will be a bit peed off,but feeling great with all that matting gone. His hair will grow back and he'll be the beautiful cat he's supposed to be Answer: My daughter Celena is almost 8 and she is bugging me soooo much to get that cut done on him. I have showed her pics of it on the internet and she laughs hysterically. My mom wants pics too for herself. I hope he's not camera shy Answer: nuttynutmeg! You're wonderful! LOL - I cried when I dropped Briggs off for her surgery. I sat in the parking lot crying for about 10 minutes before I drove away.... same with Connor. It's a horrible feeling leaving them there, but you know it's for the best!! I can't wait to see pictures!! LOL! His lion cut will be ...... interesting!! Answer: Sammie,I too live in Brampton. I just spoke to the secretary/assistant at the vet and she said that she didn't think george's matting was so severe. She wanted to warn me that he will not be the nicest looking cat. She said she had to cut/shave very close to the skin. I knew the matting was bad. And she also told me that the previous owners never brushed him,I figured that out previously as no brushes or grooming items were given to me when I got him. I honestly think now I AM going to cry when I see him. :( I am picking him up in about 3 hours and my Georgie boy is getting some special food(canned-he really likes it) and my love of course. Pics are coming so wait for them. I am sure that some people here are going to need tissue for the tears. I really don't understand how someone can let matting get that severe. Answer: He's going to look like Mr. Bigglesworth?? (the hairless cat from Auston Powers)!!! I'm sure he'll be just fine. He's lucky to have you! Which vet do you go to? Answer: Dr. Sohi at lakeridge. That's my vet. Of all the vets in Brampton he is the cheapest. everywhere else a neuter was $140,my vet-$59.50. He loves the animals, and that shows. He shows a genuine love for the animals. The $59.50 included the office visit.I couldn't ask for a better vet. George is going to be very close to bald in spots and in the other spots he is going to have hair. Answer: lakeridge? Where abouts is that? We go to Dr. Scorgie. (Springdale Animal Hospital) He's amazing, takes him time... really enjoys the animals. I'm glad to hear that George is doing well. I bet he will still be very handsome! Answer: A friend of mine would have to have her cat shaved periodically as well. When the hair grows back in, it's so soft! He's not going to be bothered one iota. As a matter of fact, he'll be much happier, aside from the fact him nether-regions may be a bit tender. Answer: That's true Trinitie. My friend's cat (RIP Puss-Puss ) she was so overweight that she couldn't lick her back... she had to get shaved every 2 months... but it didn't bother her at all. Answer: He is just off of Vodden,he is in the same plaza as IGA. The total for george was $117.16.That is for the neuter and lion cut. I am getting my baby boy very soon and I am so excited to have him back home! Answer: Oh, I know where that is! That's a great price, and if he loves animals, even better! George will be so happy to see you! Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
