Question:
We spent day in and out of vet with Tessa yesterday.We're testing for addison's or Cushing's.Next week we're doing an EKG.Has anyone else ever had this with any of your guys?She lost coat suddenly on her back (a week) and collapsed after playing like a nut with my other two guys,She couldn't get up and I had to carry her back in,she was completly normal within five minutes in the house.I took her to vet right away,they checked her,did a general blood workup and couldn't find anything.She seems fine now,except for hair loss.She's eleven(not old for a beardie and in great shape)I spent all winter trying to get Gypsy through til spring with her arthritis and the rest of the problems ,so at fifteen I was kind of prepared for maybe something happening.I guess maybe I kind of took it for granted Tessa never had any problems.I wish I was going through two lunatic puppies again.

It could be her heart, and the EKG should be able to tell you that.

Lise no idea what advice to give you but I wanted to let you know that I will be praying for you and your baby! Please keep us updated on what is going on.

It's not addisons/cushings,not her heart,not an embolism in her spine.So at least we seem to have ruled out all serious stuff.The vet was saying the hairloss is seen in older intact bitches ,but she was spayed at five months.She hasn't collapsed again,but we are still trying to figure this out we go back to vet on Wednesday next week.
