Akita problems

Question:
Hi i just wanted to know if someone can answer a question for me plz,i have a 4 year old akita that hasn't gone to the bathroom 1 or 2 (lol) for almost 3 days, her food and water intake is also very low until today when she finally went pee a little then ate and drank, problem is i have to fight with her to get her to go out to do her thing.Normally she is very excited to go outside, and has no problems making a mess .Anyway just wondering if anyone has any idea what would cause this also she is no pain from not going to bathroom, but again is really out of character. She seemed to be better today but now i have had to pull her outside again and she sat there for 45 min and did nothing, just for the record she is not messing in the house she just doesn't go at all.

TY

Answer:
If you couldn't pee or poop in 3 days, wouldn't you go to the doctor?? If she's not eating or drinking regularly, there's a problem.
I think you need to take her to the vet!
I just wanted to add that just because she doesn't seem like she's in pain, doesn't mean she's not.

Answer:
Just like Sneaky2006 said, please take your dog to the vet. There is something definitely wrong. Any dog or cat that will not poop or pee or even have a normal appetite is definitely not feeling well.

Answer:
My mother in law had an Akita, and my brother in law has an Akita, They seem to have a very high pain tolerance, and are not vocal at all. So even if they are in pain, they never seem to show it.
So please take your dog to a vet.

Answer:
Not pooping/not eating could mean she has a twisted stomach or bowel. A serious condition that can kill a dog within days. I agree, take her to a vet.

Answer:
You must bring this dog to a vet without delay! Not being able to pass water or bowel, could mean a blockage or worse. Only a vet can diagnose what the problem is.

Agreed with everyone here:
A dog will not show symptoms of pain like a human does.

Answer:
Please take your dog to the vet as soon as possible. This could be a serious health matter.

Answer:
Did you scold her for going at one time? Some dogs can be very sensitive and get confused easily about what they are allowed to do or not. Akitas are pretty dominant and head strong, so I don't think that is the issue (unless you were very upsetting to her). It could be bloat but chances are the doggy would be dead already if it was bloat. It could be constipation.

The fact that the doggy isn't peeing either leads me to that it may be emotional, the result of some trauma about the situation.

But do go to the vet to be sure nothing is wrong.
