Holistic VS. Traditional
Question: I was just wondering the difference between Holistic and Traditional medicine for cats. Which is better in which circumstances and why? Can a Holistic Vet help a sick pet? What do they do? Answer: From what I understand, a holistic veterinarian is a regular vet that has taken extra courses in holistic medicine. They practice both holistic and traditional medicine. A vet who practices holistic medicine can and do most certainly help a sick pet. With a vet who practices holistic medicine, they can help your pet with more natural remedies using holistic methods when the circumstances call for it. Such as a pet that suffers from arthritis. Arthritis can be treated in the traditional sense with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or with more holistic type of medicines such as glucosamine. Holistic veterinarian clinics do operate very much like a traditional vet clinic. They just go that one step further and offer you holistic medical treatments as well.
