Bichon Frise Help!

Question:
I have a bichon frise that is 12 years old and he was diagnosed with hepatitis and has high white blood count, and had a high tempature of 104 which decreased to 101.5. Also advised dog is anemic and on antibiotics, fluids, and IV. Brought in 2 days ago.

Dog is currently on phenobarbital for seizures, can this affect the liver, because they said he has an inflamed liver as well. If it is the fenobarbital that is infecting the liver can he be helped by being taken off the fenobarbital or reducing the amount of intake of it??

What are the options~what can be done from here....has anyone encountered a similiar occurance with their bichon....any help or suggestions will be great...Thank you in advance!

Answer:
I'm sorry, i have no advice for you, only sympathy. My family has three bichons and they are all starting to get up there in age (10, 11, and 12 years old). I dread the day their health starts going. I hope you and your vet can figure this out, or that others on the forum have some experience/advice for you. Good luck!

Answer:
I would ask the vet ASAP!

Answer:
i second what Dahlia said, only a vet can really give you information on what your facing as it sounds like a very unique set of health problems combined for your dog.
