Question:
Charlie has never been a huge eater.
Last week he became very sick . The vet gave us wet food to give him for the next few days. Well he loved it, so when we ran out I went and bought a few more cans.
Now I'm mixing 1/2 & 1/2 and he's finally a dog that comes running for his meals.

Has anyone had much experience with wet food? I have only ever used dry.

I am not an expert at dog food, but i do know that it may be difficult to get your dog back on only dry food (if you ever chose to). Also, wet food, in my experience, equals softer dog stool.
I don't think there is anything wrong with feeding wet food. I also feed my dogs a mixture of wet and dry food.

Wet food is fine. I also feed my dog some canned in her dinner every day. Makes the dry much more appetizing.

I have always fed my dogs "wet" food.My dog gets a can for breakie,and a can for dinner.I leave out dry for him.He just snacks on it when he gets the munchies.... ...And actually I have never had a problem with soft stools.
